The Human Growth Hormone is a very large molecule, comprising by default, 191 amino acids. At the same time, scientists have produced various other “slimmer” forms of recombinant growth hormone that may contain a lesser number of amino acids. Undeniably, the HGH molecule is among the largest naturally occurring peptide molecules in existence. Besides the usual injection method, what other ways are thought to exist in order to deliver growth hormone into our bodies?
Nasal spray
Nasal sprays have been touted as an alternative way to get the HGH molecule into the body. But does it really work or is it just a gimmick? Is there any evidence that you can get HGH into your bloodstream via nasal spray? I’m afraid there is no evidence that suggests that this method works with the HGH molecule.
A hormone that can indeed be absorbed through the nasal tissues is insulin. But then again, insulin is much smaller than GH in terms of size. The problem here, is the size issue.
But there is also something to bear in mind. Many HGH releasers are also much smaller than the actual HGH molecule. Here, I am referring to peptide based releasers that work in the same way as GHRH (Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone). There are a few that have been researched and produced by scientists working for some of the major pharmaceutical companies, and are only as large as several amino acids combined.
One of these is Hexarelin, which has been in the market for several years as of now. This peptide has been proven to increase GH release significantly, but perhaps the best news is it only comprises 6 amino acids, meaning that it can indeed be absorbed through the mouth and nose. As long as I raise my HGH levels, does it really matter if it is the actual hormone?
Patches
This is an obvious no go from the start if it’s HGH you’re talking about. But for other hormones like testosterone or insulin, patches do work. A patch placed on the skin is able to provide a continuous low dose of hormones as well as serves as compliment to the pill forms. Once more, the size of the HGH molecule is a major obstacle.
Pills
This can be effective, depending on what is in the pill. There is no pill that can contain pure growth hormone and be swallowed, ingested, and taken up by the body. HGH and many other types of peptide hormones cannot survive the conditions within the digestive system for long. But if the pill is only containing amino acids, then it is a HGH releaser, which does raise HGH levels depending on the type, amount, and ratio of amino acids contained within. Be sure to read the label carefully; if the pill manufacturer claims that the pill contains real growth hormone – it is a lie. HGH is too unstable even at room temperatures in order to be stored easily.
Sublingual sprays
This is one oft promoted method, but it doesn’t work for the same reason as the nasal/inhaled method – when it comes to delivering HGH successfully into the body. Although the tissues underneath the tongue are thin, they are still not large enough to permit passageway for the human growth hormone molecule.
VISION (R)
No, this isn’t related to the eyesight, but is an innovative injection substitute method worth mentioning. A pretty revolutionary method that was developed by Antares Pharma (a company specializing in developing delivery devices for medical substances), it avoids the use of needles, and has been used to deliver insulin, and growth hormone successfully into the bloodstream.
Being a needle-free way to inject HGH into the body, it is therefore, highly suitable for use in delivering HGH to children with growth deficiencies, and needle-phobic patients. Already, scientists in Japan have been testing administering HGH on children with growth difficulties using VISION, with good results to date.
